PREREQUISITES: No previous experience is required, however Manicure experience would be an advantage.

DESCRIPTION: 1 day Acrylic course teaches you how to create professional Acrylic Nail Extensions and overlays.

All courses are accredited by The Beauty Guild making it an Insurable Diploma which allows you to use this treatment on the general public and charge for the service.

Whilst this course is open to complete beginners, it is advised that previous experience of Manicure would be beneficial.

STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING A MODEL TO WORK ON FOR THE DAY.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

• Salon health, safety and hygiene.

• Anatomy and Physiology - Nail structure, bones of the hand.

• Understand contra-indications that prevent or restrict the applications of Acrylic Nails.

• Be able to consult,plan and prepare for Acrylic Nail treatments with clients.

• Preparation of workstation.

• Be able to carry out a full Acrylic Nail application, including soak off.

• Be able to provide aftercare advice for clients.

EVIDENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• You must be able to carry out a client consultation.

• Apply Acrylic Nail Extensions and overlays.

• Complete theory online prior to attending the Practical Training.
